Teleprompter for actors that follows your voice

Your lines scroll on cue as you speak them. No remote, no foot pedal, no timer running away from you.

Nothing here is uploaded. Your lines stay in this browser tab.

Runs on your device. The camera here is a preview - recording a take lives in the app.Run your own scene
How the tracking works

It follows the words, not a clock

A scrolling-speed slider makes you keep up with the script. This one keeps up with you - it matches what you say against the line you are on, word by word.

The highlight is your place

Speak, and the highlight lands on the word you just said. Look up, look back down, and you know exactly where you are.

he's going to open it, and I won't

It moves when you are done

Finish the line and the next one comes up. Take a beat in the middle of it and nothing moves - a pause is acting, not a cue.

…anything ready to say.

So here it is. Unrehearsed.

One-word lines still count

"Twenty." "What?" "No." Speech recognition often misses a line that short, so it listens for the sound of you speaking too.

Twenty.

Everything the prompter does

No account, no download, no subscription - open the page and read.

The prompter is one half. The reader is the other.

In a real scene you are not reading alone. Upload or record the other character's lines and they play on cue - then the prompter picks you back up, exactly where you left off.

You said you would call.

I know. I sat there with the phone in my hand.

Theo

That is not an answer.

Teleprompter questions

Asked before the first run

What actors want to know before they read a scene off the prompter.

What is a voice-activated teleprompter?
A prompter that scrolls when you speak instead of on a fixed timer. It listens, matches what it hears against the line you are on, and moves to the next one when you finish it - so the script keeps your pace rather than the other way round.
How do I make the teleprompter and my reading synchronize?
You do not set anything - that is the point. Add your script, allow the microphone, and read at whatever pace the scene wants. If you would rather not use a mic, switch the line to a timer and set the seconds yourself.
Which browsers does the voice tracking work in?
Speech recognition needs Chrome, Edge or Safari, on desktop or phone. Everywhere else the prompter still runs on timer mode, so no browser is locked out of rehearsing. It listens in English.
Can I use it for a self-tape?
Yes. Turn on the camera and the prompter keeps running while you record - your reader's lines are mixed into the take digitally rather than picked up off the room, so the tape stays clean.
Is the teleprompter free?
Yes, and there is no account to make. Paste a scene and start reading.
Do you keep my script?
No. Your scene, your audio and your recordings stay in your browser. The one thing that ever leaves your device is a PDF you choose to upload, and only long enough to read the dialogue out of it.

Put your own scene on the prompter

Paste the scene or drop the PDF. You will be reading in under a minute.
